DOH: No recommendation yet for COVID-19 booster shots

Health experts in the Philippines have not recommended booster shots for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19 due to insufficient evidence.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire cited the lack of full evidence on the efficacy of additional jabs and noted the scarcity of studies covering vaccines like Sinovac and Sputnik V.

Vergeire emphasized the need for caution in adopting such practices to ensure safety.
