FEU-D beats UE to clinch second seed in UAAP Junior High Boys' tourney

Far Eastern University-Diliman ended the University of the East's winning streak with an 81-66 victory in the UAAP Season 87 Junior High School Basketball Boys' Tournament last Sunday, securing FEU-D a spot in the Final Four.

UE responded by defeating Adamson Baby Falcons with a wire-to-wire 100-58 win on Wednesday, while FEU-D continued their winning streak by beating the University of the Philippines Integrated School Fighting Maroons with a score of 73-51.

FEU-D's Anton Lopez scored 19 points against UE last Sunday and added 11 points in the latest game, while Prince Carino led FEU-D again with a 24-point performance.

UE's Mav Mesina bounced back from his low-scoring game against FEU-D to score 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals in the win over Adamson. Goodluck Okebata posted a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Both teams have secured their spots in the Final Four with UE holding the top seed and FEU-D securing second place, giving them twice-to-beat advantages in the semifinals.
