UAAP issues stern warnings to La Salle's Robinson, UP's Torres for unsportsmanlike conduct

The UAAP has decided not to suspend La Salle coach Topex Robinson and UP guard Reyland Torres despite their unsportsmanlike conduct during a recent game.

An investigation by the league found that both parties displayed inappropriate behavior but did not find conclusive evidence of spitting or profanity, issuing stern warnings instead.

Reyland Torres has moved on from the issue, focusing on his team's title quest in Season 87 men's basketball tournament after UP's win over University of Santo Tomas on Sunday.

Torres expressed gratitude towards his coaches and teammates for their support during the controversial incident and emphasized that he is now focused on the well-being of the team.

UP coach Goldwin Monteverde also chose to put the controversy behind him, respecting the UAAP's decision and expressing confidence in stricter enforcement moving forward.
