Tuguegarao begins 10-day ECQ due to virus surge

Tuguegarao City began a 10-day enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) starting Tuesday, March 30, due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

As of Monday, the city had 568 active coronavirus cases with 113 new cases on Saturday, straining its healthcare system.

The ECQ will last until April 8 and includes measures like stay-at-home orders for most residents and restrictions on non-essential businesses.
