Tropical Depression Gardo maintains strength, may weaken and merge with Super Typhoon Henry

Tropical Depression Gardo maintained its strength but is expected to weaken and be absorbed by Super Typhoon Henry, according to PAGASA.

As of Wednesday, Gardo was 1,040 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h.

Henry, located 70 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon, is unlikely to directly affect Philippine weather but may enhance the southwest monsoon (habagat).

Gardo's trough and habagat will bring rains over Metro Manila and nearby areas for the next 24 hours.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers are expected in various regions due to Gardo's interaction with Henry.
