Tour of Luzon concludes, plans expansion for 2026

The successful revival of the Tour of Luzon concluded on Thursday, May 1, in Baguio City, with plans already underway to expand the event and make it even more exciting next year.

Organizers from Duckworld PH announced intentions to extend the race to Southern Luzon, adding two to four more stages, and also welcomed more foreign teams.

Arrey Perez, executive director of this year's Tour of Luzon, declared that a new season awaits cycling enthusiasts in 2026 with bigger prizes on offer, as Manny V. Pangilinan increased individual prizes for the upcoming event.

Korean cyclist Joo Dae Yeong from Gapyeong Cycling Team narrowly won the individual general classification title by just six seconds over veteran Jan Paul Morales of Standard Insurance.

MPT Drivehub secured the team general classification honors and both Yeong and MPT Drivehub each received a P1 million top prize for their victories.
