South Korean cyclist Joo Dae Young wins MPTC Tour of Luzon

South Korean cyclist Joo Dae Young clinched the final stage of the MPTC Tour of Luzon: Great Revival on Thursday, May 1, securing the individual title after eight stages.

Despite finishing 22nd in the final ascent to Baguio City with a time of 4 hours and 21 minutes due to an early flat tire, Joo maintained his lead from start to finish without support from three teammates who were involved in crashes.

Joo accumulated a total of 22 hours, 21 minutes, and eight seconds, just six seconds ahead of Jan Paul Morales, who placed second overall with P500,000.

Joshua Pascual emerged as the King of the Mountain challenge winner by scorching Kennon Road with a stage time of 4 hours, 16 minutes, and 14 seconds for P100,000 and the prestigious Eagle of the Mountain title.

MPT Drivehub Cycling Team secured the team general classification and a P1 million cash purse despite Mervin Corpuz's fall from grace in the final stage.
