Tropical Depression Tonyo Makes Landfall Over Ticao Island; Warnings Issued Across Multiple Regions

According to the latest updates from PAGASA, Tropical Depression Tonyo has made landfall over Ticao Island and is moving westward towards Batangas. As of Sunday morning, November 8th, 2020, Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over a total of 19 areas in Luzon and the Visayas regions. These include parts of Quezon, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, Metro Manila, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Aurora, Zambales, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro (including Lubang Island), Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Sorsogon. The northern portion of Samar, the western part of Northern Samar, parts of Antique, Aklan, and Calamian Islands are also under Signal No. 1 due to Tonyo's impact. PAGASA advises residents in these areas to remain vigilant and follow local disaster risk reduction management offices for further instructions.
