TNVS seek P15 base fare hike from LTFRB

Drivers of ride-hailing services are urging the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to increase base fares by P15 due to rising fuel costs.

The TNVS Community, which represents 25,000 drivers nationwide, filed a petition for this fare hike in November but has yet to receive a decision from the LTFRB.

While acknowledging the government's P6,500 fuel subsidy as helpful, the group believes an immediate and meaningful solution is needed.

Saturnino Mopas, spokesperson of TNVS Community, emphasized that drivers' take-home pay has become insufficient due to high oil prices.
