P703M fuel subsidies released to PUV drivers

The government has released P703 million in fuel subsidies to help public utility vehicle drivers cope with rising oil prices.

As of March 17, about 87,500 jeepney drivers have received the subsidy worth P6,500 each through their Pantawid Pasada cards.

The Land Bank of the Philippines has credited a total of P569 million to these beneficiaries in coordination with the Department of Transportation and LTFRB.
