TNT vs Rain or Shine in PBA Philippine Cup on Wed

TNT and Rain or Shine will face off in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at 7:30 pm in Antipolo, while earlier in the day Meralco will play Blackwater at 5 pm without defensive cornerstone Cliff Hodge due to a suspension.

Rey Nambatac, TNT's star player who helped them win the Commissioner's Cup but is out with a groin injury for four to six weeks, leaves Simon Enciso and Brian Heruela to take over playmaking duties as TNT (3-3) aims to extend their winning streak against Rain or Shine (4-2).

Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao noted that his team needs to remain focused despite back-to-back victories and sees Nambatac's absence as a significant advantage.

Luigi Trillo, Meralco's coach, expressed hope that his team can collectively compensate for Hodge's absence as they look to stop their two-game skid against Blackwater (1-4).

Cliff Hodge will serve a one-game suspension after a dangerous foul on Magnolia's Zavier Lucero and was fined P100,000, while Office of the Commissioner staff members Eric Castro and Bong Pascual were suspended for failing to upgrade the initial call into a Flagrant Foul 2.
