TNT extends win streak to four, beats Rain or Shine

TNT extended its winning streak to four games by defeating Rain or Shine, 111-103, in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Ynares Center despite being without injured guard Rey Nambatac.

Roger Pogoy led TNT's offensive efforts with a career-high 35 points, followed by Poy Erram and Calvin Oftana who scored 31 and 28 points respectively, combining for 94 of TNT's total output.

TNT overcame an early 14-point deficit to take the lead at halftime, despite missing Nambatac due to a groin injury that will sideline him for four to six weeks.

The Tropang 5G maintained their momentum in the second half with key contributions from Erram and Oftana, leading to a decisive fourth-quarter surge that clinched the victory as they took advantage of Rain or Shine's inability to respond effectively.

Rain or Shine struggled to recover after being tied at 86-all, with Andrei Caracut scoring 20 points but unable to prevent TNT's comeback. The Elasto Painters will aim to recover in their upcoming game against Phoenix on May 28.

TNT now has an opportunity to secure a fifth consecutive win against NorthPort on May 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
