TNT beats Meralco 93-73 in PBA Governors' Cup

TNT secured a decisive 93-73 victory over Meralco in the PBA Governors' Cup on Thursday, taking an early lead in Group A with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson leading the way with 25 points and a near 5x5 performance.

Rey Nambatac contributed 16 points to help solidify TNT's win as Meralco struggled without Chris Newsome who was sidelined due to an ankle sprain in the third quarter.

TNT outscored Meralco 31-16 and 23-16 in the third and fourth quarters respectively, turning a tight game into a blowout by the end of the contest.

Meanwhile, NLEX pulled away from Blackwater with a strong second half performance to win 104-87 in their conference debut under new head coach Jong Uichico.

Myke Henry led NLEX with 31 points and 10 rebounds while Robert Bolick added 24 points on perfect shooting, nine assists, and two steals.
