TNT beats NorthPort, Rain or Shine tops Blackwater in PBA opener

TNT and Rain or Shine secured victories in their opening games of the PBA Season 49, with TNT defeating NorthPort 101-95 and Rain or Shine beating Blackwater 110-97.

In the first game, Aaron Fuller led Rain or Shine with 24 points and 19 rebounds as they dominated Blackwater 110-97.

TNT's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson made a loud return to the PBA after scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, four steals, and four blocks in their victory over NorthPort.

Taylor Johns scored 36 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for NorthPort, but it was not enough as TNT won thanks to a balanced scoring effort led by Hollis-Jefferson's performance.

Calvin Oftana contributed 15 points including two-of-two from the four-point area along with seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal in TNT's convincing win over NorthPort.
