TNT, Ginebra gear up for strong three-point battle in PBA Commissioner's Cup

TNT is preparing to utilize its long-distance shooting prowess as it faces Barangay Ginebra in the upcoming PBA Commissioner's Cup starting Friday.

During their previous title run in the Governors' Cup, TNT shot at a 39.6% marksmanship from beyond the arc and averaged 11 three-pointers per game, contributing to their championship victory over Ginebra with a score of 4-2.

In that series, TNT outperformed Ginebra from long range in all six games, including Games 3 and 4 which they lost. For instance, TNT was 12-of-30 in Game 1 and 14-of-37 in Game 2.

Barangay Ginebra aims to carry their improved three-point shooting performance into the rematch, having knocked down a total of 60 three-pointers out of 139 attempts (43.17%) against NorthPort in their recent semifinal series.

In contrast, TNT's last semifinal series saw them shoot at a slightly lower rate of 32.82% from the three-point line with 43 successful shots out of 131 attempts.
