NLEX falls in Game 3, trails 2-1 in PBA quarterfinals after close Game 2 win

The NLEX Road Warriors narrowly defeated TNT Tropang Giga in Game 2 of the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals with a score of 93-90 on Friday, September 27, but lost to TNT 109-91 in Game 3 on Sunday, September 29 at Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Despite trailing 92-88 late in the fourth period during Game 2, TNT had a chance to tie or win but Rondae Hollis-Jefferson missed two crucial free throws and committed a foul on Javee Mocon, who sealed the victory with a made foul shot.

In Game 3, Glenn Khobuntin delivered from long distance, dropping 17 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting from three-point range as TNT regained control of their series at 2-1.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson turned in a near triple-double effort with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists, while DeQuan Jones finished with just 16 points and 10 rebounds - a far cry from his previous game's performance.

TNT made 15 of its 33 three-point attempts for a healthy 46% clip, leading to a commanding 61-40 halftime lead that allowed them to cruise the rest of the way.
