Pagasa warns of thunderstorms in Metro Manila and 7 provinces

Thunderstorms are expected to occur in Metro Manila and seven other provinces on Friday afternoon, according to the state weather bureau Pagasa.

Pagasa issued an advisory at 2:25 p.m., warning that moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds could develop over Greater Metro Manila and Bataan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, and Batangas within the next two hours.

Despite the expected dangerous heat index in the metropolis, Pagasa advised caution for potential severe weather conditions and urged residents to take necessary precautions against flash floods and landslides.

On Wednesday, similar weather disturbances with moderate and heavy rain showers were reported in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, and Cavite.

Residents are urged to stay alert as the weather bureau continues to monitor the situation closely.
