Telcos restore network services in Rolly-hit areas

Local telecommunications firms PLDT Inc. and Globe Telecom Inc. have restored network services in Catanduanes and other areas affected by Super Typhoon Rolly.

As of Wednesday, November 4, both companies reported call and text service availability for subscribers in Catanduanes, with Smart using its own aircraft to deploy repair crews.

Globe has also nearly fully restored services in the National Capital Region (NCR), Rizal, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Marinduque, Sorsogon, Samar, and Western Samar, while efforts continue in Albay, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.

Both companies are working to restore full services in areas like Bicol, where power outages and debris have slowed down restoration efforts.
