Easterlies to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms across PH

PAGASA warns that easterlies will bring partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across Metro Manila and most parts of the Philippines on Friday.

The weather agency issued gale warnings for Batanes, Babuyan, Calayan, northern coast of Ilocos Norte, and northern coast of Cagayan due to moderate to rough sea conditions.

Cloudy skies with light rains are expected in Luzon's northern regions due to the northeast monsoon (amihan), affecting Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and rest of Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila will experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms; flash floods may occur during severe storms.

The tail-end of a cold front is expected to bring cloudy skies with rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Region, rest of Cordillera Region, and Cagayan Valley.
