DOH: 15k Sputnik V doses for 5 NCR cities

The Department of Health announced that 15,000 trial doses of the Sputnik V vaccine will be distributed to five cities in Metro Manila starting Sunday.

Makati, Taguig, Muntinlupa, Manila, and Parañaque each will receive 3,000 doses due to their appropriate cold storage facilities needed for the -18 degrees Celsius temperature requirement of Sputnik V.

Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano stated that his city is prepared to handle the logistical requirements of the vaccine with a vaccination site just five minutes away from its cold storage facility.
