Pasig enhances protocols, Taguig doubles vaccination targets

Pasig City is enhancing health protocols and ramping up its vaccination rollout to combat the Delta variant, with 167,688 residents vaccinated so far.

The city has 12 operational vaccination sites but two have suspended operations due to a lack of supplies for Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.

Taguig City exceeded its daily vaccination target by administering 16,625 doses on July 31, doubling the national target and addressing Delta variant concerns.

Mayor Lino Cayetano urged residents to get vaccinated during the upcoming ECQ period from August 6 to 20, emphasizing the importance of vaccinations against the highly-contagious Delta variant.
