Eastern Visayas cities implement strict measures against COVID-19

Cities in Eastern Visayas, including Tacloban, are implementing measures to prevent the local transmission of COVID-19.

Tacloban's local health board has set up strict health monitoring procedures for passengers arriving at DZR Airport, requiring them to fill out a form disclosing travel history and home address.

Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERT) have been established in all 138 barangays of Tacloban.

The city health office is intensifying its preparedness efforts following the declaration of a state of public health emergency, with thermal scanning and health declaration forms for arriving passengers since February 6.
