Taal's activity remains weak under Alert Level 2

Taal Volcano continues to exhibit weak volcanic activity under Alert Level 2, with fewer volcanic quakes and lower plume emissions.

On Monday, Phivolcs recorded 20 volcanic quakes and a plume height of 50 to 100 meters, down from the previous day's 29 quakes and higher plume.

Similarly, on Friday, plume emission was measured at 50 meters tall compared to 300 meters the previous day, with 22 volcanic quakes recorded.

Phivolcs notes that Taal remains under Alert Level 2 for 15 days, and a further reduction in alert level may be considered if parameters continue to decrease over two weeks.
