Taal at Alert Level 2, plume emissions steady

Taal Volcano remains at Alert Level 2 with weak plume emissions continuing.

On Tuesday, Phivolcs reported a plume height of 50 to 100 meters, consistent with the previous day's measurements.

The number of volcanic quakes increased slightly from 20 to 28 in the past 24 hours.

Phivolcs reiterated that entry into Taal Volcano Island must be strictly prohibited due to potential hazards.
