Tulfo leads senatorial survey with 54%, Duterte, Marcos tied for fourth

Political consultancy firm Publicus Asia released a senatorial preference survey on Monday ahead of the start of certificate of candidacy filings for the 2025 elections.

ACT-CIS Party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo leads with 54 percent support, followed by former Senate President Vicente Sotto III at 34 percent and Senator Pia Cayetano at 31 percent.

Senator Imee Marcos and former President Rodrigo Duterte are tied for fourth place with 25 percent each, while other administration-endorsed candidates including Panfilo Lacson and Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr. hold the sixth to seventh positions with 24 percent each.

The Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey commissioned by the Stratbase Group shows that ten out of twelve administration-backed senatorial aspirants secured top spots, while Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. and Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino did not make it into the top ranks.

Publicus used purposive sampling to gather data from a market research panel of over 200,000 registered Filipino voters with 1,500 respondents randomly selected, while SWS involved face-to-face interviews with 1,500 nationwide respondents.
