Woman dies waiting for bus to Bicol, tested positive for COVID-19

A 33-year-old woman named Michelle Silvertino died while waiting for a bus ride to Bicol.

Silvertino had initially tested positive for COVID-19 but had not yet received confirmatory test results when she passed away at a pedestrian overpass in Pasay City on June 5.

She was buried without her four children seeing her, as they were unaware of her death until later.

According to reports, Silvertino had been living on the footbridge for five days hoping to catch a ride home to Calabanga, Camarines Sur.

Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano stated that Silvertino was buried with permission from her sister Josie after being placed in a cadaver bag by city officials.
