Ginang dies while waiting for bus in Pasay

A 33-year-old single mother, Michelle Silvertino, died while waiting for a bus in Pasay City after five days of waiting to return to her family in Bicol.

Silvertino tested positive for COVID-19 based on preliminary results, though confirmatory tests were pending at the time.

Lawyer Gaby Concepcion suggested that local officials might be held accountable if they failed to address Silvertino's situation upon learning about it, especially during the pandemic when there is an obligation to assist potentially infected individuals.

Silvertino's sister Josie gave permission for her body to be buried.
