Soler files bill for mandatory COVID-19 vaccines

San Jose Del Monte City Rep. Florida Robes has filed House Bill 10249, which proposes mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for eligible Filipinos with penalties for refusal.

The bill exempts individuals with conflicting religious beliefs or medical conditions that could worsen from vaccination.

It also discourages discrimination against those who refuse vaccination and emphasizes the importance of public education on vaccine benefits.

Robes cited existing laws requiring immunization against diseases like Hepatitis-B and noted that mandatory vaccination is not uncommon.
