DepEd Requires Full Vaccination for Teachers in F2F Pilot Schools

Teachers and non-teaching staff in the 120 schools identified for the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to DepEd.

DepEd emphasizes that this requirement is mandatory even in low-risk areas to ensure safety.

Rep. Ruffy Biazon suggests additional measures such as barring students and staff with comorbidities, augmenting schools with medical personnel, and conducting simulation activities before implementation.

The guidelines also highlight the importance of proper ventilation, physical distancing, and prioritizing learners who will benefit most from limited face-to-face learning.
