SMC allocates PHP500M for PPE procurement

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has allocated PHP500 million to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.

SMC president and COO Ramon Ang urged local manufacturers to retool their facilities to produce PPEs, recognizing the high global demand for medical supplies.

Ang emphasized the urgency of securing more PPEs to protect health care workers who are risking their lives to save others.
