SMC-CPC Awards Night honors top UAAP, NCAA athletes on June 30

Five standout players from the UAAP Season 87 and NCAA Season 100, along with other top athletes, coaches, and contributors, will be honored at the 2025 San Miguel Corporation-Collegiate Press Corps (SMC-CPC) Awards Night on Monday, June 30.

Clint Escamis of Mapua University is the CPC Men's Basketball Player of the Year after leading his team to a historic NCAA championship and posting averages of 24.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 4.0 steals per game in the finals.

Bella Belen of National University was named the UAAP Women's Volleyball Player of the Year for towing her team to back-to-back titles with three Season MVP citations overall since high school, before kissing the league goodbye after a decorated career.

Kevin Quiambao of La Salle, JD Cagulangan from UAAP champion University of the Philippines, and Mike Phillips complete the 'Fab Five', each earning significant accolades including MVP and Defensive Player of the Year for their achievements.

This year's awards night will also recognize football players for the first time, with FEU's Mon Diansuy, Carmela Altiche, and San Beda's Amir Aningalan receiving inaugural Football Players of the Year honors.
