Two suspects in custody in Michaela Mickova's death on Boracay

Two individuals are now in custody as persons of interest in the death of 23-year-old Slovak woman Michaela Mickova on Boracay Island.

According to PNP Public Information Office chief Police Colonel Randulf Tuaño, nine witnesses led to the identification of three suspects, two of whom have prior drug-related offenses.

Mickova's body was found decomposed in an abandoned chapel after being missing for two days and showed signs of blunt force trauma and sexual abuse.

The Aklan Police Provincial Office has launched a probe into the incident with increased security measures on Boracay to ensure safety.

Police Regional Office 6 vowed to leave no stone unturned until justice is served for Mickova, who was described as a beloved daughter and friend.
