Shear line, ITCZ bring rain showers over PH

The shear line affecting extreme northern Luzon and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) in Mindanao will bring rain showers over parts of the Philippines on Monday.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Ilocos Norte due to the shear line, while Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas will experience similar conditions due to the ITCZ.

A low pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) around 2 a.m. Monday and is expected to affect the Visayas and Mindanao within two to three days.

Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, as well as Visayas and Mindanao, will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.
