Gatchalian calls for probe into suspended mayor's Chinese ties

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian revealed that suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo's brother, Wesley Leal Guo, whose real name is Guo Xiang Dian, has matching fingerprints with a Chinese citizen.

According to NBI records and BOI files, Guo Xiang Dian arrived in the Philippines in 1999 as Lin Wen Yi’s dependent son and is listed as Guo Hua Ping's brother.

Gatchalian noted that Wesley Leal Guo used both his Chinese and Philippine passports interchangeably from 2003 onwards, suggesting abuse of late registration processes.

The senator called for further investigation into the existence of two Alice Guos, one of whom has an irregular birth certificate at the Philippine Statistics Authority.

Guo and her family members were subpoenaed to attend Senate hearings regarding the raided POGO hub in Bamban on July 10. If they refuse to come, warrants of arrest will be issued.

Gatchalian urged Mayor Guo to reveal the main players behind illegal POGOs in the country.
