VP Sara Duterte urges Filipinos to move on after RD's ICC arrest

Vice President Sara Duterte called for Filipinos to 'move forward' after her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, was arrested and turned over to the International Criminal Court.

When questioned about National Security Adviser Eduardo Ano's involvement in a 'grand conspiracy,' Vice President Duterte expressed no personal feelings and emphasized the need for the country to look ahead.

She noted that harboring anger is futile since the government will not hold anyone accountable for the situation, stating her father would likely be unable to return to the Philippines.

Vice President Duterte also addressed rumors of a 'traitor' within her father's circle who might have leaked information leading to his arrest.

The vice president said she felt emotionally detached from the matter and criticized government officials' explanations about her father's arrest, suggesting they had abandoned reason and legal principles.
