Sara donates PHP2.1M salary for SPMC front-liners

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is donating her one-year salary of PHP2.1 million to help front-liners at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Mayor Sara felt responsible after learning that 12 out of 300 medical workers had been infected, with 10 having recovered and two still in mild condition.

She plans to give PHP50,000 to each affected front-liner to help them cope with the stress and inconvenience.

As of Tuesday, Davao City had a total of 90 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 52 recoveries and 14 deaths.
