Sara Duterte meets ex-VPs, rules out political alliances

Vice President Sara Duterte met with former Vice Presidents Leni Robredo, Teofisto Guingona Jr., Joseph Estrada, and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as part of her task to visit predecessors.

During a press conference, Duterte stated that she has no plans to enter political alliances, emphasizing her focus on protecting the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Duterte declined to provide details about her meetings with Robredo and other former vice presidents, saying it would be more appropriate for them to speak if there was anything to discuss.

Robredo confirmed that their conversation in Naga City during the Peñafrancia Festival was purely personal and not political, as did Gutierrez, Robredo's spokesperson.

Duterte also mentioned plans to visit former Vice Presidents Noli de Castro and Jejomar Binay next, while reaffirming her commitment to supporting her predecessors if they need anything.
