San Miguel Beer edges Ginebra, 100-83, in Game 2 with Fajardo limited

Barangay Ginebra staged a dramatic comeback from an 18-point deficit to defeat San Miguel Beer by a score of 73-71 in Game 1 but lost the series tiebreaker with a 100-83 setback on Friday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Marcio Lassiter led San Miguel Beer with 16 points, while Mo Tautuaa contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds despite limited minutes from an injured June Mar Fajardo who logged just 17 minutes due to a calf injury.

Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar scored only five points with six assists, and Scottie Thompson added nine points and six assists in the loss.

San Miguel Beer dominated early and maintained their lead despite Fajardo’s restricted playing time, setting up Game 3 on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum where the winner will take a series advantage.
