San Miguel Beer beats Terrafirma 128-89 in PBA

San Miguel Beer secured a back-to-back victory by defeating Terrafirma, 128-89, on Sunday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center.

San Miguel extended their winning streak after defeating Phoenix last May 11 and maintained a strong lead throughout the game against Terrafirma with CJ Perez contributing 17 points and Mo Tautuaa adding 17 markers, eight rebounds, and two assists.

Rodney Brondial's performance was notable with 22 rebounds, 16 points, an assist, and a block as San Miguel improved their record to 5-2 in the team standings.

San Miguel Beer head coach Leo Austria emphasized that their defensive strategy, which limited Terrafirma to only making 33 of their 92 attempts (35.9%), was key to their victory.

Despite Mark Nonoy's 24 points for Terrafirma, San Miguel's balanced attack and depth, with seven players scoring in double digits, ensured they pulled away by as much as 39 points in the final quarter.
