San Miguel beats Phoenix 111-92, climbs to third

San Miguel Beer secured a decisive victory over Phoenix with a score of 111-92 in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Sunday evening.

Don Trollano scored 21 points and played a crucial role in San Miguel's dominant second quarter performance, helping the team pull away from Phoenix after a tightly contested first quarter.

CJ Perez led San Miguel with 26 points while June Mar Fajardo contributed 20 points and 12 rebounds in the win that lifted them to third place in the standings.

Phoenix struggled to keep up despite Kai Ballungay's standout performance of 23 points, falling to a 2-4 record.

Coach Leo Austria praised Trollano and the team's bench for their strong second quarter effort which helped secure San Miguel's victory.

San Miguel will next face Terrafirma on May 18 at Ynares Center II in Montalban, Rizal.
