San Juan's active COVID-19 cases surge to 255

San Juan City's active COVID-19 cases surged from five on December 14 to 255 as of January 3.

The number increased gradually to 75, then 105, 152, and 197 before reaching 255.

Mayor Francis Zamora noted the unprecedented spike despite a high vaccination rate of 245%.

Of the current cases, most are mild (83.92%) or asymptomatic (14.51%), with none in critical condition.
