Mantua helps Adamson beat UST 69-56 in UAAP

Royce Mantua, who transferred from University of Santo Tomas (UST), helped Adamson secure a 69-56 victory over UST in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament on Sunday.

Mantua scored 11 points and was instrumental alongside Monty Montebon and AJ Fransman in Adamson’s win at Mall of Asia Arena, expressing added motivation from playing against his former teammates.

Montebon contributed 15 points, while Fransman had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, helping Adamson improve to a 2-1 record.

Mantua noted that he transferred due to UST's system not fitting his natural playing style as a guard, and is now thriving in Coach Nash Racela’s system at Adamson.

The victory sets up Adamson for its first winning streak of the season as they prepare to face Ateneo next Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
