Drilon criticizes gov't denial of PH being SE Asia's COVID-19 hotspot

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon criticized the administration for denying that the Philippines is now the COVID-19 hotspot in Southeast Asia.

Drilon stated that the government's attitude problem was evident, as it cannot be denied that the country leads in contamination.

On Friday, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed reports of overtaking Indonesia by claiming higher testing rates in the Philippines.

Roque claimed that despite having more cases, Indonesia has lower testing rates than the Philippines but did not provide data to support this claim.
