Philippines allocates P240B for 2022 COVID-19 response

The Duterte administration has proposed a PHP240.7 billion budget for the country's COVID-19 pandemic response in the 2022 national budget.

This amount is part of the PHP5.024 trillion National Expenditure Program and includes funding for vaccine booster shots, health facilities enhancement, and procurement of supplies.

The Department of Health will receive PHP48.4 billion, while the Department of Education will get PHP99 billion for flexible learning options and school operations.
