DOH fails to spend P2B pandemic funds

The Department of Budget and Management’s Procurement Service (PS-DBM) failed to spend over P2 billion allocated for pandemic response supplies in 2020.

Bayan Muna Party-list Rep. Carlos Zarate questioned PS-DBM and the Department of Health (DOH) on fund transfers worth P42.41 billion without proper documentation, as flagged by the Commission on Audit.

PS-DBM officer-in-charge Jasonmer Uayan confirmed that most of the unspent P2.07 billion will be reverted to the Bureau of Treasury due to expiration.
