Malacaŋang: COA report on DOH deficiencies 'unnecessarily' alarmed public

Malacaŋang said the Commission on Audit's (COA) report on deficiencies in the Department of Health's PHP67.32 billion allocation for the COVID-19 pandemic response has 'unnecessarily' alarmed the public.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated that the DOH had spent the funds as required, contrary to public perception.

President Rodrigo Duterte attributed the deficiencies to incomplete paperwork and criticized COA for flagging agencies involved in the pandemic response without proper context.
