Flights still diverted from Cebu to Manila until June 12

The services at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) remain unchanged despite some officials' support for Governor Gwendolyn Garcia's executive order implementing swab testing upon arrival.

International flights are still being diverted to Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila until June 12, as per a memorandum issued by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on June 5.

MCIA is focusing on international cargo servicing and serving outbound flights while not accepting incoming international flights.

The diversion aims to ensure proper testing and quarantine protocols for OFWs and ROFs are implemented after June 13 when the airport resumes international flight services.
