Malacañang extends international flight diversion from Cebu to Manila until June 12

Malacañang has extended the diversion of all international flights from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Cebu to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila until June 12.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea issued a memorandum on June 5 extending the flight diversion to ensure proper implementation of testing and quarantine protocols for returning Filipinos.

Initially, Medialdea had diverted flights from May 29 to June 5 due to concerns over compliance with health measures in Cebu.
