Sisi Rondina debuts for national indoor volleyball team at AVC Challenge Cup

Sisi Rondina is set to make her indoor volleyball debut for the Philippine women's team at the AVC Challenge Cup from May 22 to 29.

Despite a recent loss in the PVL All-Filipino Conference, Rondina expressed that representing the national team is a no-brainer and will bring her firepower to the tournament.

Joining Rondina for the first time is former Creamline setter Jia De Guzman as they prepare to compete in Pool A against Chinese Taipei, India, Iran, and Australia.

Rondina, who has two SEA Games bronze medals in beach volleyball, acknowledges the challenge of gelling with her new teammates but remains optimistic about the team's chances.

National team coach Jorge Souza De Brito secured Rondina as one of his wishlist players for this tournament, which marks his last stint before his contract expires on June 30.

The Philippines placed seventh in last year's AVC Challenge Cup when De Brito coached the core of the Akari Chargers.
