Sorsogon roads cleared after Rolly, power to be restored by Thursday

Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero says all national and provincial roads are now passable after clearing operations following Typhoon Rolly.

Residents are gradually returning to normalcy, with road clearance completed within five hours of the typhoon's impact.

About 20 electric posts were destroyed but have been repaired; power supply is expected to be fully restored by Thursday.

Escudero also noted that around 60,000 people or 16,000 families were preemptively evacuated before the storm.
